DEWA wins ‘Bahri & Mazroei’ Happiness Cup

Dubai, UAE; December 20, 2018: In an exciting grand finale with a nail-biting finish, the Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA) cricket team won the Bahri & Mazroei Happiness Cup, beating the Bahri & Mazroei (B&M) Team by three wickets.

Batting first, B&M scored 113, all out in 20 overs, and put up a brave fight against DEWA in competition between equals. DEWA however marched past in 17.1 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Founded by Bahri & Mazroei Group, the annual Happiness Cup celebrates the vision of the UAE leadership to promote the happiness of the community and to promote team spirit among corporate and government entities.

Among other participants in the tournament this year were NAFFCO, Bose, TECON, TYCO and many more.

The Bahri & Mazroei Happiness Cup, now in its second year, was an intensely contested tournament in which over 10 teams took part. The grand finale was held at the Eden Garden Cricket Ground in Ajman.
